Enclosed Door Blinds

Enclosed Door Blinds

Enclosed door blinds provide a more customized appearance and experience.  They can sit snuggly into sliding doors as well as French door glass insert.

Though enclosed door blinds may not have been the first thing on your mind when you first started decorating your home or a specific room, you might find that as you begin to look more deeply into the overall style and function of a space, they will come to the forefront of your attention. Of course, to be able to seriously consider them, it is important to actually know what they are. This way you can compare them to French door blinds, for example, to see which might be the better option for your home.

Enclosed door blinds are a form of window covering that are placed between two pieces of glass, meaning that they are not actually exposed to the outside.  The result is one that is extremely practical to use, simple to maintain, and very attractive.  These are ideal as both patio door blinds and French door blinds as well.  They replace the typical verticals and minis – all too common in apartment rental units – with a much more elegant appearance.

Aside from the overall pleasing look, they are much longer lasting, the settings are easier to change, and they are much easier to keep clean – since they are set between two pieces of glass so they never need to be dusted or washed.  In these terms, mini-blinds and verticals simply cannot compare to enclosed door blinds.  They look as though they are part of the door and don’t swing when the doors are opened or closed.

Enclosed Door Blinds Are Quite Functional

They can be adjusted for more or less shade and privacy using a tab located on the frame.  The adjustment of enclosed door blinds works very similar to function of vinyl mini-blinds.  They cut out sunlight to maintain better temperatures during the summer and to minimize glare when you’re seated or working facing that direction.  They also regulate how much people outside your home can see in; increasing your privacy as well as your home security.  This is all accomplished without a long string that is constantly being tangled as in the case of mini-blinds.

Enclosed door blinds are not difficult to find as their popularity has spiked tremendously.  Though you can go to specialists in window coverings, you can also head over to the local decorating and home improvement stores to have a look at options there as well.  Look for them in the same department that offers French door blinds. Many of these places will not only offer the window coverings, but will also provide an optional installation service.

Of course, installation is typically quite direct and simple, but a professional installation can make a difference if you have a custom or complicated job.

When shopping for enclosed door blinds, all you need to know is the measurement of the space in which you would like to place them.  You should also measure the door from the centre of its screw holes.  That way, even if it is an odd shape, you can still ensure a perfect fit with a custom order.
